The Journey
8:00 AM – Departure from El Poblado
We’ll begin our day in El Poblado before heading into the historic heart of Medellín.
Downtown Medellín & Botero Plaza
Our first stop takes us into the city’s vibrant center where we’ll visit the world-famous sculptures of Fernando Botero.
More importantly, we’ll experience the authentic rhythm of downtown Medellín through its streets, businesses, public spaces, and cultural landmarks. This is where visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the city’s history, growth, and identity.
Comuna 13: A Story of Transformation
Next, we’ll visit Comuna 13, one of Medellín’s most inspiring neighborhoods.
Once known for violence and conflict, Comuna 13 has become an international symbol of resilience, creativity, and transformation. Through its murals, public art, music, and local stories, visitors will learn how a community helped reshape its future through determination and collective effort.
Sancocho en la Ocho – El Faro
The highlight of the day is our arrival in El Faro for Sancocho en la Ocho.
More than a meal, sancocho is a tradition that brings people together.
Guests will enjoy a community celebration featuring traditional homemade sancocho, local music, beautiful views overlooking Medellín, and the opportunity to meet residents and community leaders who continue to help shape the future of El Faro.
Away from tourist crowds and commercial attractions, visitors will experience a genuine neighborhood gathering built on connection, hospitality, and shared experiences.
This is Medellín beyond the postcards.
This is Medellín through the eyes of its people.
