There’s something about Colombia that stays with you.
The culture, the people, the sense of community—it’s real. And every time I visit, it leaves a mark.
That’s why I’m proud to share that Sancocho en la Ocho is returning on December 8th in El Faro, near Comuna 8 in Medellín.
This event is more than a gathering—it’s a celebration of progress. The community continues working toward paying off the local community center through dedication and unity, and this event represents that momentum.
Alongside the celebration, we’re building a full Sancocho en la Ocho weekend experience.
This includes a guided travel experience led by Andrés from Nomad Travel Colombia—designed for both international travelers and locals. The experience will feature a scenic nature hike in Rionegro and an opportunity to connect directly with the community of El Faro.
This is about more than travel.
It’s about immersion, respect, and being part of something meaningful.
